The Halloween is back!
Launched in 2013, the theme park's annual Halloween event returns for its 6th edition with brand new scares and heart-stopping horrors that will leave guests screaming and stumbling for their lives.
Currently ongoing until 31 October, NOF6 runs from 7.30pm to 11.30pm on every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the entire month of October. For maximum spookiness, the event is set to wrap up on Wednesday, 31 October a.k.a. Halloween. :p

As NOF6 is only open from 7.30pm to 11.30pm, that leaves you with only four hours to cover all the rides and attractions
Having been to previous NOFs and was even fortunate enough to attend the opening night for this year's event, here are some insider tips to help you make the most of your visit to NOF6:
1. When should you visit 'Nights of Fright 6'?
As previously mentioned, NOF6 is open from Friday to Sunday nights as well as Wednesday, 31 October from 7.30pm to 11.30pm.
Keep in mind that Fridays and Saturdays are marked as peak days, so do expect the place to be packed to the brim on those days. #weekendvibes
However, Sundays are marked as off-peak days, hence it might be a little less crowded as some people might already be resting in preparation for the weekday.

2. There are so many different passes! Which one should I buy?
Regular tickets are priced at RM69, which comes with either a blood bag or devil's horns headband. You can also opt for the Xpress Lane Combo (RM114), which allows you skip ahead of the queue at attractions and rides. You can also get ahold of discounted prices if you're a customer of Sunway Lagoon's partners here.
PRO-TIP: Consider going for the Express Lane passes if you're attending the event on a crowded day. As someone who hates waiting (especially in the hot, hot heat), they were a godsend as jumping ahead to the Express Lane cuts down on waiting times significantly e.g. lining up for upwards of an hour in the normal lane vs. less than 15 minutes on the Express Lane.
3. What attractions should you focus on to make the most of NOF6?
This year's Nights of Fright event features seven haunted houses, one haunted theatre, four scare zones, and three live show stages. 11 of its all-day amusement rides will also be running for the Halloween event. In addition to the main attractions, there will also be dining spaces, merchandise kiosks, activity areas, and photo op areas peppered along the way.
It can get super crowded on peak days, so do get ahold of the event map (pictured below) to plan out an optimised route based on the attractions you want to see or experience before beginning your adventure. The map is also available for download here.

PRO-TIP: The event space is roughly a circular path with attractions and features located along the way. You could either opt to go clockwise or counter-clockwise... or simply run like hell to the attractions situated at the back of the park before everyone else gets there. :p
Our personal mission has always been to hit as many haunted houses as possible, because, well, we're here to get scared 'til we sh*t our pants. :D
Here's a brief rundown of this year's Haunted Houses (HH):
(i) Phobia: Coulrophobia - The Fear of ClownsIf you're afraid of clowns, this might be the best place to confront your fears. In Phobia, the tables are turned as you "trespass" upon the spooky house where creepy clowns live. Phobia has the shortest walkthrough among all of NOF6's haunted houses, and we felt that it was probably the least scariest. Great starter HH for first-timers and those with weaker hearts!
(ii) Ghostbusters: Halloween in New YorkBy far our favourite of the bunch, the Ghostbusters HH is chockful of references to the classic 1984 movie and its 2016 reboot. Interesting storyline and well-timed jump scares aside (our favourite was the "undead" beggar running out with a coin cup), we also had a fun time trying not to fall over at the super trippy tunnels.
(iii) Slaughterhouse 13We hope you're not squeamish, coz it's blood, body parts, and even more blood galore in this killer butcher shop. Be cautious if you are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or any sort of photosensitivity, coz a significant stretch of this HH features intense flashing lights. Quite scary, in our opinion, as you can't really see where you're going (or who's popping out) when the lights won't. stop. flickering.

(iv) Horrorwood Studios: Wax Museums of Monsters and (v) Zombie Zoo: Who Let the Dogs OutThese two HHs are actually integrated into one location, so you get to kill two birds with one stone! Meet iconic movie villains like Jason, Freddy, and Chucky in the extraordinary museum... but don't let your guard down just yet - there's a zombie outbreak ahead. Flickering lights are also present in Zombie Zoo, so take note of that if you are photosensitive.
(vi) Wendigo: The Legend in the Mist
You can't hide, but you can try to outrun the legendary cannibal-like monster in this HH. Seriously, don't linger in the mist - these guys can't get enough of human flesh.
(vii) Ghost Face: The Face to Make You Scream in UV3DGhost Face is here, Ghost Face is there, Ghost Face is - ARGH - literally everywhere! Just... try not to get lost in the maze of Ghost Faces, okay?

In addition to the haunted houses, NOF6 also features four Scare Zones, three Live Show Stages, and a ScaryTales Theatre starring the demons you feared growing up
Enter the world of frightening cerita hantus at ScaryTales Theatre, where familiar demons like Pontianaks, Toyols, Pocongs, and Hantu Bangkits vie to have their stories heard.
The Scare Zones are dressed up according to the following themes:
(i) Jampi: Asian Rituals, where Malay dukuns and Salem witches chant mantras and perform mysterious rituals.
(ii) Haunted Shipwreck, where dead pirates roam in search of haunted treasures.
(iii) Tanah Puaka: Cursed Land. Well, the word "cursed" says it all, really...
(iv) Killer Scarecrows. 'Nuff said.

4. OMG, what if the scare actors grab me and kidnap me?
Don't worry, the scare actors are not permitted to touch guests. Likewise, guests are not allowed to touch, harass, verbally abuse, and assault scare actors, park staff, and other guests in the park.
While we're at it, here are more ground rules that have been set for NOF6:
1. Entry is only granted for those who are 12 years old and above, so leave the tiny kiddies at home!
2. No re-entry allowed once your ticket is scanned and you've stepped foot into the park.
3. No costumes, full face make-up, and masks.
4. No outside food or drinks.
5. No smoking and drinking within park grounds.
6. Photography and video recording is not allowed in haunted attractions.
7. Do not touch any props in the haunted houses. You don't want to "accidentally" get a finger chopped off. :)
8. Do not jump queue and exhibit inappropriate behaviour (e.g. foul language). You may be expelled from the park.
